My studio is at 1a Highgate Road, London NW5 1JY
It is part of the Hurley apartments complex, situated behind the Bull & Gate pub. On the right-hand side of the pub is a small cobbled alley with a gate. On the left hand side of the gate is an entry phone. Press the bell for ‘office’. Come in, close the gate behind you and you will find the studio in the first building on the left. Press the bell on the right hand side of the door and I will let you in.
Kentish Town Underground and Thameslink station is 2 minutes away. Buses 88, 134, and 214 stop almost outside the door. Gospel Oak Overground station is 15 minutes walk away. Bicycles can be left inside the gate. Car parking nearby is possible but limited.
Make sure that you are comfortable: wear loose clothing. An Awareness Through Movement class is not an exercise class. You will not work yourself into a sweat! It is important that you are warm.
I provide comfortable mats to lie on. Please wear a face mask and bring a large towel or sheet with which to cover the mat. When you enter the building please hang your coat on the hooks provided on the wall and take your shoes off before going up the stairs to the studio: there is a strict ‘no shoe’ policy in the studio. Hand sanitiser is provided.
If you are in regular contact with school age children, please get in contact with me to discuss. There are students in the group who belong to the vulnerable group of adults. I need to keep them as safe as possible.
I recommend that you follow the advice outlined in this article ‘What to do when the lesson is over’ by David Zemach-Bersin.
