I teach the same lesson to both classes in any one week. I use the Zoom platform to teach these classes. If you are interested in joining a class please contact me on [email protected]. You can come to any of the two scheduled classes. You can come to more than one class in the same week at no extra cost.
A few hours before the start of a class, I will email you the Zoom invitation link to the class. Please read the accompanying email carefully. I usually write in what position the class will be done (i.e. lying on back, sitting on chair, standing, etc.) and what props you may need. Make sure that you are comfortable: wear loose clothing. An Awareness Through Movement class is not an exercise class. You will not work yourself into a sweat! It is important that you are warm.
Have one or two folded towels handy if you need some support for your head. Your face needs to be more or less parallel with the ceiling. Together we will figure out what the best support height is for you.
If you are coming for the first time, please watch this video. It will guide you about how best to place your camera or computer. In my experience a laptop is easiest. At your first class please check in ten minutes before it starts, so that we can meet and make sure that you are well set up and that you have the right support for your head.
During the lesson I need to be able to see you from top to toe. You only need to be able to hear me. Awareness Through Movement classes are taught by verbal directions only.
At the start of the class we usually have a short chat, and at the end there is the possibility to ask questions about the lesson and/or share experiences.
